A 12-bore boxlock, by Midland Gun Co, the action heavily engraved throughout with beautiful foliate-scroll and two charming game scenes, one side depicting three pheasant in a field and the other side depicting Pointer dogs, both in natural setting, the ornate foliate-scroll engraving extending to the fences, toplever, underside and trigger-guard, with classic double-trigger and well-figured stock. This also has a pair of Wesley Richards barrels beautifully engraved to the side in scroll font.
Midland Gun Co’s first trading address was 76 Bath St, Birmingham where they were stationed from 1889-1894, however the company moved many times after this.
